Hello lovelies, today I thought i would show you an eye look that I’ve been really enjoying doing throughout the spring.
This look is subtle and I like the warm tones within it, i think that this look is good if you’re going out somewhere on an evening throughout spring or summer where you’re sitting outside. The glitter is lovely when it catches the light and i think that it finishes off the look really well.
The first thing I did to create the look was apply a primer to my eyelids, i used the Freedom Eye Primer. I like this one as it blends out nicely and it leaves a nice base and evens out the skin tone on my eyelids. To blend this out i use my real techniques miracle completion sponge which is great to use on eyelids because you can use the rounded part on the main part of the lid, but then for the inner corner to make sure it’s all blended out i use the flat side as i find it good for getting into corners. I’ve also used the collection lasting perfection concealer underneath my eyes to brighten them up.
For this eye look I’ve used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette which I’m really loving using, I’ve been using it a lot more as the weather has been getting nice it makes me more motived to make more of an effort with my makeup.
The first shade I use is White Chocolate, I put this all over my lid using the real techniques deluxe crease brush as it’s quite a bit eye brush so it’s easier to get the product across the whole lid quickly. This shade is very pale and it’s just a bit lighter than my skin tone so it give me a good powdered base over the primer.
The next thing I do is get the base shadow brush and swipe it into the shade salted caramel. I love this shade, it’s so wearable and you can build it up gradually to how you like it. I put this colour in the outer corner of my eye and then drag it through the crease.
Using the same brush I dip it into milk chocolate which is a slightly darker shade which I find I have to be careful with as it can come out very pigmented, I put the colour back into the outer corner on top of salted caramel. This darkens the look slightly and adds more warmth.
For the glitter I use my finger as I find I get can the most pigment out of the shadow this way. I use the shade Creme Brule and pat it onto the centre of my lid and towards the inner corner. This shade is really warm and gives the look a really lovely glow which i think looks lovely for this time of year.
In the inner corner I use my finger again to pick up some of the shade Marzipan which is a lot lighter the Creme Brule and I think by adding this to the inner corner of my eye it gives the look a pop and it brightens my eyes up.
I think by adding eyeliner to this look it finishes it off really well, if I’m wearing this look in the day time I might not add the eyeliner as I think it helps to make the look more suitable for the evening as it darkens it up. This eyeliner is from Essence, its a felt liner and i have gone over it with a gel liner that I found in Primark which is really good as its super black and stays on all day/night. The last thing I did was apply some mascara, for this look I’ve used the Maybelline lash sensation.
Let me know what you think of the look in the comments!
Thanks for reading 🙂
