I hope you are well, today I am going to talk you through my favourites of January. There are a few things I’ve been loving this month including beauty, homeware and books.

Woodland Wick Candle 

I have been loving this candle, after having all of the christmas scented candles burning for a few months it was really nice to have something different. This smell is exactly what it says on the tin, it’s a cotton/linen scent and fills the room up with a clean fresh smell. One thing I love about this candle is that it’s huge, so there’s no problem with the scent not covering the whole room and it’s not overpowering despite being quite heavily scented in the jar. I love how the wicks of this candle are proper pieces of wood, there aren’t your standard rope wick. As the wicks are wooden it adds to the aroma of the room and gives it a slight woody edge. The colour of the candle fits in perfectly with the scheme of my bedroom as it is all mostly pink white and grey. I would definitely recommend Woodwick candles.

Mac Lipstick Velvet Teddy

On a day to day basis I tend not to go wild with my makeup as I am only going to work. I like to add a little bit of a “your lips but better” colour in the mornings just to help brighten up my face. Sometimes I will just apply a lip balm, but recently i have been adding this Mac lipstick on top and it just gives my lips that extra little bit of colour. This is such a beautiful shade, it’s a dusky/rosy pink and matches my lips really well.

How To Be Calm

Towards the end of January I have been having a bit of trouble with my anxiety. Reading this book when I get home is really comforting. There are so many lovely pages with quotes that help you to relax and feel uplifted, it helps me take my mind off of the things that are getting me down. Sometimes I don’t even know what I am worried about, just sitting and reading really helps to settle my mind for a while. I am really grateful to my lovely mum for gifting me this at Christmas.

Fluffy Socks

January was a super cold month! And there is nothing I love more than putting on a pair of cosy fluffy socks and sitting in front of the fire with the tv on. I don’t always to have a slippers on when I have my feet up on the couch, fluffy socks are the perfect addition! I have collected quite a good collection of fluffy socks now, i don’t think i will be running out any time soon! MY favourite pairs are from Primark, for around £1.90 you can’t get much better can you?
