Benefit Roller Lash | Review

Hello lovelies,

How are you all doing today? I have been loving this mascara for a while now so I decided to write a review to tell you all about it.

I first tried this benefit mascara when I went away for the weekend. I had forgotten to pack a makeup bag! I thought I’d take a stroll down to boots and see what i could pick up. I found this lovely little gift set that included a miniature brow gel, primer and the roller lash mascara. Prior to this I had never purchased any products from benefit because to be honest i didn’t know if the product would be with the money.

The Packaging

Lets start of with the packaging, I received this full size version for christmas. This mascara came in a lovely box. I love the design of roller lash, my favourite colour is pink and i think the black works really well with it. The handle of the wand has a slight rubbery texture which makes it easier to undo and grip whilst using it (especially if you have just applied hand cream) As you can see it also has a sort of lattice design to the handle, i think the design and the feel of this product is really good quality.

The Wand

At first I wasn’t sure about this style of wand because i don’t always get on well with plastic bristles but I wanted to give it a try. I ended up being pleasantly surprised, with the mascaras I have tried before that have had plastic bristles I found that it made my lashes clump together which I’m not really a fan of. Instead it made my lashes look really fluffy and separated them well. This wand has a small curve in it which helps to reach all of the lashes .

DSCN1479

Colour

The colour I chose was black, I mostly like to wear black mascara as have quite light eyelashes so I find I need as dark a colour as I can get to really bring out my lashes. This mascara adds a lot of colour to the lashes and helps to accentuate them! I love how dark this mascara makes my lashes.

Overall Performance

To summarise I really love this mascara, as it has a curved wand it help to give your lashes that extra curl that I definitely need. It also helps to reach all of the little lashes in between to give the best effect and to give the lashes volume. I think the packaging is lovely and I think the colour scheme is great. After receiving this as a gift for Christmas when it runs out I definitely do think I’ll be repurchasing it even thought it is the most expensive mascara I have owned at £20 I do think it is worth the price tag.

Here are the before and after photos!

March Birchbox | First Impressions

Hello lovelies,

Today I am going to be sharing my thoughts on the March Birch Box. There were lots of lovely products in this months box so read on if you would like to find out about them!

Detoxifying Clay Face Mask | Generation Clay

The first item in the box I picked out was this detoxifying clay mask, it really caught my eye. First impressions were that I loved the packaging, I think it’s really sleek and classic they grey colour also goes with the theme of the mask as its contains charcoal. I have tried this mask out once and i really enjoyed using it. I applied a thin layer onto my face a let it sit for 15 mins. I loved how this felt when applying, it is quite a thick consistency so i found that I didn’t need to use lots of product. As the mask was drying it did make my face become quite tight which i liked as it felt as though it was working and doing something. I didn’t make my face feel itchy or hot at all which is something I’ve had problems with in the past with other masks. After leaving this on for 15 mins I removed it using a flannel and some warm water. The results of using this mask for me was that my skin felt very smooth and soft and the amount of bumps on my skin had seemed to receded a little which i was happy about. It also didnt break out my skin. I defiantly think I’ll continue to use this and may buy the full size product when i have run out. The only thing that holds me back slightly is the price as it is £28.50.

DSCN1606

“You Go Girl” Bronzer Compact | The Beauty Crop

My first thoughts when I saw this product was that the box and the packaging was gorgeous, that drew me to this item straight away. I have only tried to bronzer out once but from that i think i will definitely be using it again. The colour of this compact is a warm bronze rather than cool, I quite liked that this had more of a warm undertone because i think this will be nice to wear in the summer with a bit of a tan. The consistency of the product is lovely, it is really smooth but has a little bit of a creaminess to it so it’s not chalky at all. At first glance this looks as though it is a completely matte bronzer but it does in fact have little bits of shimmer within it which I think is lovely.

DSCN1593

Eyebrow Cream | Chella

I was really excited to see a brow product in this months box as I’m always looking for new beauty products to try. I love this look of the packaging it quite simplistic, the design of this product is also really clever in my opinion. I think it would be good to travel with as it’s not very big and you get the brow pomade and the brush all in one. To use this product you pop the lid off if one end to reveal an angled brush and on the other end you unscrew it and the product is in the end of the little pot. I thought the colour match was great for me, it is a cool toned brown colour called “tantalising taupe”. The consistency was creamy and went onto the brows really nicely I loved using the brush as it allowed me to be really accurate. This brow cream dries down pretty well and i would say it is completely smudge proof so will stay on the brows all day long. This product is £20 so in my opinion its a little pricey but i do like the results.

DSCN1597

Original Clear Balm | Dr.PAWPAW

The next product in March’s Birch Box is this hydrating balm. I have really enjoyed using this lip balm, it is unscented which is a little disappointing but the quality makes up for it. This is a clear balm and it was really soothing on the lips. The main ingredients in this balm are aloe vera and olive oil, so is very moisturising. This was a full-sized product and would cost £3.95 if bought individually. This balm has multiple uses can be used for lips, cuticles and skin.

 DSCN1601

Smoothing Balm | Number 4

Also in this months box was a smoothing hair balm. This product smells lovely, it is used to help with curly hair that is frizzy and or coarse. I used a small amount on damp hair and it made my hair feel a lot smoother, it also looked really shiny which doesn’t normally happen when I leave my hair natural so I was quite impressed with that.

Scent Of A Dream Perfume | Charlotte Tilbury

The last product I received in this months box was a Charlotte Tilbury perfume Sample. I was quite surprised to find this in the box as i know this is quite a high-end product, the full-sized bottle is £49. To be brutally honest i was not a big fan of this scent, i think it is a little bit mature for me so i will probably give this away to a family member. I loved the rose gold and white packaging but just wasn’t to keen on the scent. I think this would be great for an older women as that’s what this scent reminded me of, it’s just such a shame i didn’t love it.

That’s all for today lovelies, i hope you enjoyed reading. Let me know if you have tried any of these products out in the comments below!

February Favourites | 2019

Hello lovelies,

Today I wanted to share my favourites for February with you, I apologise for it being a little late there have just been so many posts I wanted to do as well as this one.

I would love you know one of your favourites of February so comment down below!

The sun came out for a short moment in February and it was lovely but for most the month it was pretty chilly. My first favourite would have to be this lovely teddy bear jacket/coat it is so soft and cosy, it’s perfect for this time of year. I got this jacket from eBay, I had seen lots around on Depop and regular shops but decided to have a look on eBay and there were loads, I liked that on eBay there was much more variety with colour. I am definitely going to be ordering it again but in a different colour, perhaps orange rust or Khaki green. One of the other reasons I got it on eBay was because it was a lot better value than in the shops as some places are selling them for £50 and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it so didn’t want to spend out before I knew.

DSCN1587

My next Favourite is the Primark brow pencil, I did a review of this which you can read here Brow Emergency Kit | Review. I loved the kit and have actually been using it ever since. One of my particular favourites though is definitely the brow pencil, it’s so soft a buttery which I was completely not expecting, I thought it might have been tough and hard to get product onto the brows without hurting as it is with other cheaper product, but it really did surprise me. As it is so creamy you only need to press really lightly and it gives the brows a really natural but full look. I am very happy with this purchase and will definitely buy it again.

DSCN1571

My next favourite is a pillow mist. I’ve been having a really tough time with my anxiety lately, making it hard to fall asleep is something that happens as a result. I thought I would give this “sleep serenity ” pillow mist a go. It is infused with camomile and lavender which are of course both very calming products. I have been spraying this on my pillow whenever I’ve had a really bad day with anxiety and I do feel it is helping me fall asleep faster. Before I used this I would lay in bed for hours just thinking, not being able to shut my mind off (I’m sure lots of you can relate). I got this product from Avon quite a while a go and it came in a set with a few other “sleep serenity” items. I believe you can purchase it on its own so when I have run out I will be repurchasing it.

DSCN1582

My last favourite for this month is a bottle of perfume I received from my lovely boyfriend for Christmas. This perfume is called White Amber and it is from Next, I’ve been loving it! As it’s such a wearable scent I can wear it pretty much anytime. I love how it smells and it lasts all day which I think is great. I also adore the packaging I believe it works well with all of my other perfumes as they are all unique. The white ombré detail on the bottle as it’s something I don’t think I’ve seen before. This bottle of perfume is pretty big so I’m hoping it’ll last for quite a while.

DSCN1576

That’s all for today lovelies, remember to leave a comment about your top February favourite! I hope you enjoyed reading this post, let me know by giving it a like!

Thanks for reading 🙂

A Little Lush Haul

Hello lovelies,

How are you doing today? I hope you’ve had a fab weekend. Today I thought I would do something i haven’t done before on my blog, a lush haul!

Read on to find out what I purchased and my thoughts on them.

I really love Southampton for shopping as there is such a massive variety of places to go. The majority of shopping I did today was in the west queue shopping centre, last time I went to Southampton to shop was a few years ago and i never remembered there being a lush store there, so when I  arrived and saw it I was very happy.

I have never actually done a lush haul on my blog before so this is a first! As the nearest lush shop is about an hour away from me I always have to make the most of it when I get the rare chance! Lush is one of my favourite shops, I know some people can’t stomach the smell, and i’ll admit it is quite overpowering and you definitely smell it before you see it! I really enjoy looking round and getting to test out and smell all of the different products.

As it’s getting close to easter now Lush always bring out special holiday products, there were a few I hadn’t seen before such as cream egg and  easter bunny sugar scrub. I really love that they bring out new and different products for holidays. I was a little bit disappointed that quite a few of these products where glittery, the reason why i find it a little but harder to shop for new products to try out is that I’m not a bit fan of the bath bombs or bubble bars that have glitter within them, i get that it appeals to some people, but having tried them out before i just don’t like getting out of the bath looking like a glitter monster! Instead I hunt for new products that are glitter free.

I was able to pick up a couple of things that a get almost every time I step into lush and I was also able to find a couple of new things that i hadn’t seen or tried before so I am really excited to give you all my opinions on them once i have tried them out. Let’s get on with the haul!

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar

The first item I found was the Think Pink bubble bar, for me this is a staple for my baths. I know some find the snow fairy scent overwhelming but i love it, to me it’s a really sweet sugary scent and I love the colour its turns the bath water to as its a bright pink! What I love about bubble bars is that you can get so many uses out of them, I break off a little pice each time I want to spice up my bath water and overall I think I can get around 6 or 7 baths out of this one bubble bar. With that being said i think it’s definitely worth the money at £3.50 As it has coco butter in it I find it helps to moisturise and soften my skin.

Main ingredients

  • Almond oil

Moisturising and conditioning

  • Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter

Moisturising and softening

  • Vanilla Absolute

Sweet and soothing

DSCN1556

Butterball Bath Bomb

The next product I picked up is another one of my all time favourites, Butterball. This little bath bomb is just a classic from lush and I think pretty much all people will like the scent this one has, as its made with cocoa butter it smells incredible and leaves your skin feeling so smooth and moisturised. Every time I go into lush I have to pick one of these up, I think they are a great bath bomb and a very reasonable price at £2.95. I love the simplicity of this bath bomb when you go into lush you are bombarded with all of the different colours of the rainbow and more, so I think it’s really nice to have some products that aren’t as bold for people who are maybe new to lush or just prefer something a little less wild. I find the scent really relaxing and it helps me to sleep at night after having my bath. Again if I really wanted to save it I sometimes break this bath bomb in half so I can get two uses out of it as i can’t get to a lush store as easily as others.

Main ingredients

  • Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter

Moisturising and softening

  • Ylang Ylang Oil

Sweet and heady

Cocoa Sugar Scrub

This item was part of the easter range, which I thought I would have a give at least one product a go from. There were two different type of this product one was a white bunny which had more of a coconut vibe and this one which was more chocolatey. As i have a lot of products already and are coconut scented I thought I would go for the cocoa bunny, this one smelt heavenly. They texture of this is quite coarse as it contains granulated sugar so I imagine it is going to be lovely to exfoliate your skins with in the shower and it will make you smell amazing! This product was pretty reasonably price a £4.95 I think that I will be able to get quite a lot of uses out of this sugar scrub.

Main ingredients

  • Cocoa Powder

Softening, uplifting and antioxidant

  • Vanilla Absolute

Sweet and soothing

  • Cocoa absolute

Chocoaltely and uplifting

  • Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter

Moisturising and softening

DSCN1563

Gritty Politti Naked Cleansing Balm

The last thing I picked up from lush today was this lovely facial cleanser, I don’t use many products on my face as i do have rather sensitive skin but I thought this sounded really lovely and wanted to give it a try. I have used this product for the first time tonight, I love the way it feels on my skin when i was rubbing it in, it also has very tiny pieces of coconut shell within it which gently exfoliated my skin. I love the smell of this product and i only us very small amount as it just melted into my hands. It removed my makeup really well, it even removed my mascara without much trouble. The one thing I will say is currently my cheeks are very red, I am not sure if this is due to the cleanser or not as my skin is quite sensitive it may just be that it needs a while to settle down. I would love to write a full review on this product when i have tested it out properly. I think if this product works for me i will definitely buy it again as it was £4.95 so i think it is good value for what you get in my opinion.

Main Ingredients

  • Sandalwood

Warm and woody

  • Rose wood oil

Balancing mind and skin

  • Ground coconut shell

Gentle exfoliant

  • Benzoin Resinoid

Soothing and protective

And thats the end of my haul, it was only a little one today. I hope you enjoyed reading, if you did let me know by leaving a like!

I’d love it if you could let me know what your favourite lush products are in the comments, or what would you like to try out!

Thanks for reading 🙂

February BirchBox | First Impressions

Hello lovelies,

How are you? Today I am writing about the February Birchbox, whats inside and my first impressions of the products. Read on to find out more!

As february is the month of love, being valentines the box has this sort of theme, in this months box a few post cards were added in with different wording on the design as you can see.

DSCN1518

Anatomicals Body Cleanser

The first thing that caught my attention in this months box was this cleanser. It is a full size product as it is 100ml. This cleanser is called “no one gets flirty with the dirty pick me up body cleanser” sticking with the theme of valentines day. I have heard of this brand before but until now haven’t tried any of their products out. I really like the scent of the cleanser, at first I wasn’t sure but the more I’ve used it the more I’ve grown to like the smell I would say it’s a unisex scent as it’s not either too feminine or masculine it sort of meets in the middle. It lathers up really well and a little goes a long way. As the RRP is only £4 i would consider buying it again.

Geranium and Grapefruit Body Milk

This lotion is by the brand John Masters Organics, the size of this product is only small as it’s a sample but would be great for travel or to keep in your handbag as it won’t take up too much room. I really love how this makes my hands feel, as one of the ingredients is coconut oil it really hydrates and moisturises.  After using this product my hand feel so smooth and soft but you don’t get any oil residue and the product sinks into the skin very fast. The scent of this body milk is the one thing that I wouldn’t rave about, the main ingredients are geranium and grapefruit. As I am not a big fan of citrus scents this isn’t to my taste, the grapefruit is a powerful scent but you can also smell the floral notes of the geranium. I wouldn’t purchase this again as the full size version is £18 and I don’t love the smell enough to buy it.

DSCN1520

Coconut and Fig Hair Masque

The next thing that caught my eye was this coco & eve “like a virgin” hair mask. I have seen this product advertised so am looking forward to giving it a go. I will do a full review on this once I have given it a few tries. The first thing to say about this product is that i adore the scent, one of my all time favourite scents is coconut so i can’t go wrong with this! It’s not an overpowering type of smell but it is really lovely, and i can’t wait to find out what its like when it’s in the hair. The directions for this product are different to what i thought they would be, you shampoo your hair and towel dry it, then distribute it evenly throughout your hair. This product claims it improves shine, texture and tames frizz. As i have naturally curly hair i can’t wait to see what the results are because my hair goes very frizzy when its natural.

Liquid Shimmer Shadow Eclipse

In this months box there were two shades of this eyeshadow you could possibly get, I received Eclipse. I really love this colour, it is a coppery shade and is a shimmer eyeshadow. I have worn this eyeshadow out once for a few hours, it applied really easily and is really pigmented. This product lasted the whole time i was out, its pretty smudge proof which is great as most powdered shadows start to wear off the longer you wear it. I love how shimmery it is and the applicator makes it easy to apply and enables you to be more precise as it’s not too big.

Tapered Blending Brush

The last item in February’s BirchBox is an eyeshadow brush from the brand Luxie, I’ve heard of this brand and think they are quite popular but I myself haven’t tried their products before. I like the look of this brush and the rose gold detailing is lovely! The bristles are quite soft, although i don’t think they’re as soft as the real techniques eyeshadow brushes. I am yet to give this brush a go but as it say i think it will be really good for blending shadows together. It does feel like a good quality brush and i am going to look into the brand more if i love using this brush.

DSCN1522

That’s all from Birchbox this month. I am quite happy with the selection of different products I received this time, but would’ve liked to see maybe another beauty product added into the mix.

I hope you enjoyed reading and let me know what you think of these products or if you’ve tried any of them out in the comments!

Thanks for reading 🙂

Valentine’s Eye Look

Hello lovelies,

How are you? As it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow I wanted to share this look I created especially for it!

I don’t normally go this bold with my eyeshadow but I feel like going all out this time round.

To create this look I used the revolution newtrals 2 pallet as there are lots of pinks and reds within it.

DSCN1110.jpg

Base

To start of I put a little bit of Becca primer on my eyelids. As I don’t wear foundation I thought this would be a good way to use it and it worked really well as a primer for my eyeshadow. After I let that set in I went in the lightest shade in this palette which is a very light pinky/cream shade and it makes a lovely base colour.

Builder Colour

Next I added this peachy pink that I used to create my last eye look which was a Peachy Matte style. This palette is really good for building up colour as you can add little bits at a time and it blends in really well together.

All over

Once I had the first layer of colour on I went lightly all over with this orange/red colour which brightened it up a little bit. To do this I used the real techniques shadow brush as it’s good for blending colours together and packs on the shadow evenly.

DSCN1459

Outer third

The next colour I used was a bit bolder, it is a Beautiful bright red. I only had to use very small amounts of this as it’s so pigmented! I used a brush I bought from TK MAXX it’s a bit flatter than the real techniques shadow brush so found it good for placing the colour exactly where I wanted it. I put this colour on the outer third of my eye and then tied it in by bringing it across the top of my eyelid to help it blend well.

Glitter

Before adding the sparkles I went over my lid with concealer in the places where i would be adding the glitter shadows. After blending that out i went in with one of the darkest glitters in this pallet, it is a lovely purple shade with red tones i thought it would go really well with the red. The glitters in this palette are really pigmented, to get the best out of it i use my finger to apply them.

DSCN1467

Inner corners

To brighten my inner corners up I added a light pink glitter shade and blended it in with the darker glitter, this created a ombre effect which i really like. I think adding the pop of colour into the inner corners really helps to complete the look.

Touching Up

After finishing up with the glitters I went over with a soft blending brush and made sure to brush over any harsh lines to bring the look together. The finishing touch is definitely going around the outside of the eye with a makeup wipe and then adding a little bit of concealer to make the lines look sharp.

That’s all for today, I really hope you enjoyed reading and let me know what you think about this look in the comments!

What colour will you be wearing on your eyes this valentines day?

Thanks for reading 🙂

February Favourites

Hello lovelies, sorry I’ve not posted for a few days I haven’t been feeling too well. I really like to read these types of posts so I thought I should give it a go for myself. I’m going to be writing about pretty much anything that I’ve been liking over that particular month. Because I started my blog at the beginning of this month February will be my first monthly favourites post!

DSCN0900

There have been a few things I’ve really been enjoying through february one of which is the Wilde Like me book I mentioned this in my Sunshine Blogger Award post because it has become one of my favourite books. I love how its such an easy light-hearted read. It’s about real life and a Mother who has a 6-year-old daughter she’s divorced is back out looking for love as well as that she is trying to build up her career as an assistant MUA and is offered a big job, I don’t want to give the whole story away but it is such a good book. I’ve got about 40 pages left, and then I will be waiting for the sequel to be released!

My next favourite of the month is the Nivea face cream. As the weather has been so cold and I have naturally quite dry skin it makes it even worse, so I use this cream on any of the dryer patches on my face and apply it before I go to bed and in the morning. I like to use this cream when my skin is dryer than normal because it’s thicker than my Body Shop Vitamin E Moisturiser, i think it’s a bit more nourishing and hydrating on my skin.

DSCN0903

I LOVE candles! Since it’s the start of a new year I wanted to use something new that i hadn’t tried before. Because i own so many candles my mum actually put some wax melts into my stocking at christmas and i decided to save them until the new year. I’ve used this melt about 5 times and the scent is still going really well i love Yankee candle and the idea of wax melts because they are definitely a lot less money and they give off the same amount of pay off with scent in my opinion. I really love the smell of pink sands and i will definitely be repurchasing!

I haven’t been too well health wise over this past month so I haven’t been wearing much makeup because I had to go out anywhere or really been feeling like wanting to wear it. The one thing I have been using for when I do go out is my collection lasting perfection concealer, its great for covering up the dark circles under my eyes due to my lack of sleep! I feel like I look a lot more alive after I have put a bit of this concealer as it helps to put a bit of colour back into my face which is great ahah.

I’ve also been catching up on lots of tv over February, I’ve really been loving Jack Whitehall’s series Travels with my Father which is on Netflix currently, I find myself laughing pretty much the whole way through each episode. There are also new episodes of Call the Midwife each week on BBC1 which I absolutely love its one of my all time favourite shows, it’s really a cosy show and i just love everything about it even if it does make me cry every time!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and next month hopefully I’ll be feeling better and there will be a few more things for me to show you!

Let me know in the comments what your favourites have been this month?

Thanks for reading 🙂

How I Store My Makeup Getting Organised!

Hello lovelies, today I wanted to talk to you about how I store my makeup. I am definitely no pro mua but I do love makeup and trying out new looks. Because I am fairly new to the world of makeup I haven’t got a huge collection like I have seen on other blogs or YouTube videos but I do have a small collection which I hope I can grow over time. I like to be quite minimalistic with my makeup and how I store it because I don’t like to have lots of clutter.

DSCN0871.jpg

On the left hand  side of my desk there are two little jars, these are used to store any random bits and bobs that I use regularly like my tea tree oil and tweezers. I love how these look either side of my light which I got as a birthday present last year which I also think looks really cute when it’s all lit up! The rose gold colour of the jars is what I love most about them, I have a lot of rose gold dotted around which I find matches with my grey, pink and white colour scheme. I also love the way they are both shaped I think makes them look more unique and individual. I believe that they were sold to be used for tealight candles but I thought they would be perfect to sit on my desk for smaller bits and pieces that need a home!

DSCN0841.jpg

In the middle of my desk is where my brushes live, most of which are real techniques but there are also some makeup revolution and other brushes hiding in there somewhere! I thought the colour and design of this pot was lovely and all of my makeup brushes fit in perfectly. I received this pot as a gift one Christmas, it makes it easier to reach for them as they are all in one place.

DSCN0855.jpg

Next on my desk are my acrylic drawers. I bought these from Primark and they were a really good price (around £4). I had seen some online that looked pretty much identical for triple the price, so I was glad I found these! I keep some of my palettes and a few individual items in here because it helps to keep my desk tidy. By having these drawers it has made it easier for me to find things that would normally be in a makeup bag that I would have to dig through to find!  They are also quite a decent size so I am able to fit a few things into them like hair clips and grips as well as larger beauty products.

DSCN0861.jpg

The last piece of storage on my desk is another acrylic tray that I also bought from Primark for around the same price. This tray has five different sections to it so it gives you a variety of different spaces to fit various items. At the back of this tray I have my eyeliner’s and mascaras, next to that I keep my concealers and eye primers as it is the deepest section of the tray and alongside this I keep my beauty sponges. To the right I keep lipsticks that I use the most (the others are in a makeup bag) as i think this is the perfect place to store them and it looks really cute!  The last section is where my foundation, eyebrow gels and lip balms live. I really love how this tray looks when it’s all filled up, I think it makes the area look neat as everything has a place but also I can keep part of my makeup collection on show.

The rest of my collection is kept one of my desk drawers I purchased from Ikea, in here is the makeup that I don’t use as often or they are too big to keep on top of my desk for example my eyeshadow pallets. I also have a pot which i use to store my liquid lipsticks in but i haven’t got a photo of it as it’s on a different shelf in my bedroom!

What kind of storage do you use for your beauty products? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading 🙂

My Everyday Beauty Products

Hello lovelies, today I wanted to talk to you about what beauty products i wear daily. As I am at college and work for most of the week I keep my makeup really simple. Depending on what my skin looks like that day I will decide whether to use a concealer or not. I will normally only wear foundation if I’m going out and because I find that my skin is in quite a good condition at the moment i choose not to wear foundation.

no 1.jpg

The first thing I do before I put my makeup on is moisturise, for this I use The Body Shop’s vitamin E moisture cream. I really like this moisturiser because it is light and it doesn’t take long to sink into my skin. I find that it makes my skin feel more rehydrated, as this cream is specifically made for people with drier skin its great for me because I do tend to have dryer skin rather than oily. I put this cream all over my face before I apply any of my makeup.

no 2.jpg

Next I comb through my eyebrows with a spoolie to get them shaped the way I want, and then I go through them with some brow gel. The reason I only use brow gel on my eyebrows is because in the feel I don’t feel like i need to fill them in. I really like this brow gel from Maybelline, it isn’t too sticky on my brows and i am able to shape them easily with the brush and they will normally stay put until the end of the day. I have gone through many of these brow gels!

The next thing I do is curl my lashes, I love this lash curler! One of my favourite colours at the moment is copper. I have quite short lashes and they are very straight so when i curl them it makes a huge difference, it makes my lashes look at lot longer as well as more curled. The mascara I am currently using is by Maybelline and its the Lash Sensational, I really like how much volume it gives my lashes and the colour is great because my lashes are fair I need a dark mascara to help define them.

Once I have done all of this I will apply some lip balm, I love to use EOS mint lip balm in the mornings because it feels very fresh and helps to wake me up!
